Swoonworthy Sourdough

Wild-yeast sourdough, fermented slow, made by hand.

Swoonworthy Sourdough moves one block into Allen's Alley

Swoonworthy Sourdough Artisan Bakery opened in Luling in 2024. Bread, bagels, cookies, sweets, and dog treats from a barkery called Three B. Everything from scratch. Everything started with a wild-yeast culture, not a commercial packet.

The dog treats are made from the same kind of ingredients you’d put on your own plate. The bread is fermented long enough that your gut actually likes it.

Where to find them

The bakery is at the very front of Allen’s Alley to the left as you first enter. Open Thursday through Saturday, 10AM to 4PM.

Swoonworthy changed their decorations seasonally and this is the Fall 2026 window. In the background you can see the Barkery, baked goods for dogs, and jams and other goodies that go with the yummy baked goods they create.

Swoonworthy is also one of our founding tenants at Allen’s Alley. The space at 505 East Davis is where you’ll be able to grab their breads and sweets on Friday and Saturday alongside everything else the alley has to offer.

Why they fit Allen’s Alley

I look for makers who do the slow version of the thing when the fast version is cheaper and easier. Sourdough is the test case. You can buy bread anywhere. You can’t buy this bread anywhere.

A Swoonworthy Sour Dough Cinnamon Roll is ready to be eaten.
If you have never had a sourdough cinnamon roll, you are in for an amazing moist delicious treat. It is above and beyond a traditional yeast or quickbread cinnamon by leaps and bounds. Usually found in the bakery on Saturday’s. They sell out quickly.
