Sweet and Spicy Bookstore started as a mobile romance bookstore traveling Texas — community markets, local events, meeting readers wherever readers gathered. In July 2026, Dawn opened Sweet and Spicy’s first permanent brick-and-mortar shop, here at Allen’s Alley.
The name says the range. “Sweet” covers contemporary romance you’d hand your grandmother. “Spicy” covers the sub-genres your grandmother would blush at. Both, and everything between, live on Dawn’s shelves.

Every book is new. Sweet and Spicy doesn’t do used or resale — that’s an intentional call. New means Dawn can support the authors and publishers whose work she stocks.

If you’re looking for a specific title Dawn doesn’t currently carry, ask. She curates inventory directly for her customers and takes special requests through her website or socials. Come in with a wish list.
